Planting Day at Laura Hare Bend of the Wabash East

NICHES Land Trust invites members of its Black Rock Society to an exclusive opportunity to participate in our stewardship of the land at Laura Hare Bend of the Wabash East on May 29. While our conservation efforts are normally self-sustaining, NICHES is planning a rare workday to plant plugs of hard-to-find native plants – and you are invited to work alongside us! NICHES restoration efforts at Laura Hare Bend of the Wabash East protects riparian ecosystems in the floodplain of the Wabash River in Western Tippecanoe County. For the past couple of years, the NICHES stewardship team has been working to reclaim and restore 30 acres of rare sand barrens habitat. Learn More >>

NICHES Executive Director Shannon Stanis will lead a tour the new addition to Williams Woods, Fall Creek Gorge, and Honey Branch Bluff with pizza and fellowship along Big Pine Creek. Van transportation will be provided to those who register in advance. Learn More >>
