Black Rock Society Warren County NICHES Property Tour
Description
Touring Warren County Preserves: Williams Woods, Fall Creek Gorge, Honey Branch Bluff with pizza and fellowship along Big Pine Creek
On this property tour, we will visit the extensive savanna restoration at Williams Woods and explore the new acres purchased this year. Together, we will envision the future of the preserve while witnessing the restoration already in action. Then we will venture over to the new trail along Fall Creek and see the invasive species management progress at Fall Creek Gorge. In 2023, we hiked the Big Pine Creek trail at this preserve. To cap off the day, we have arranged for some delicious wood-fired pizza for all attendees along the Big Pine Creek right by Honey Branch Bluff and Crow’s Grove.
*A van will be provided to carpool from Fort Quiatenon (3129 S. River Road, West Lafayette, IN 47906) to Warren County (Departing around 10:00 am), but bus space is limited to 12 attendees. Parking is somewhat limited, so carpooling is encouraged. RSVP is required – please be sure include if are joining the NICHES van and dietary needs. Headcount needed to ensure enough pizza, parking, and tour guides!
Event for Black Rock Society members only.
