2026 Black Rock Society Dinner is September 19

Join fellow Black Rock Society members for an evening of fellowship, appreciation, and celebration on Saturday, September 19.

This year's event will be held at the Wabash & Erie Canal Interpretive Center (1030 N Washington St, Delphi, IN 46923).

During the evening, guests will hear highlights from the past year, learn about the impact of their support across our preserves and restoration projects, and look ahead to future conservation opportunities. The program will also feature a special presentation, Forestry for the Birds, exploring how forest stewardship benefits bird populations and strengthens healthy ecosystems.

Together, we will celebrate the conservation achievements your support has made possible and the future we are building for Indiana's natural landscapes.

Black Rock Society members may sign up to attend here. Please note that RSVPs must be received by September 1. All guests will receive the 2026 edition of the Black Rock Society pint glass featuring an Eastern Box Turtle.

This event is free and open to all members of the NICHES Black Rock Society.

About the Black Rock Society

A notable name for a property, Black Rock rises over 100 feet above the Wabash River in Warren County. The 45-acre NICHES preserve is a popular site to visit and is also the namesake of a distinguished circle of supporters.

Members of The Black Rock Society recognize that a strong economy and high quality of life are ultimately dependent upon the state of the environment. The Black Rock Society is a group of generous individuals who invest in the future of NICHES through annual financial contributions exceeding $1,000, including NICHES in their estate plans, and/or by donating, bargain selling, or planning to give land.

You can join this special group of citizens who help conserve Indiana’s natural lands by supporting NICHES. Your gift shows a commitment to local conservation, and your legacy will provide opportunities for others to experience the wonders of the natural world. Members enjoy invitations to special events, including several exclusive property tours, and the annual Black Rock Society Dinner. For more information about joining The Black Rock Society, contact Development Director Ann Fields Monical at 765-423-1605.

By supporting NICHES you protect the land, water, and wildlife of west-central Indiana, and secure public access to the most unique and precious natural areas in our region.
