Black Rock Society: Planting Day
Description
NICHES Land Trust invites members of the Black Rock Society to join us for an exclusive opportunity to participate in our stewardship of the land at Laura Hare Bend of the Wabash East on May 29. NICHES restoration efforts at Laura Hare Bend of the Wabash East protects riparian ecosystems in the floodplain of the Wabash River in Western Tippecanoe County. For the past couple of years, the NICHES stewardship team has been working to reclaim and restore 30 acres of rare sand barrens habitat.
While our conservation efforts are normally self-sustaining, NICHES is planning a rare workday to plant plugs of hard-to-find native plants – and you are invited to work alongside us!
