NICHES Land Trust has reached an exciting milestone of protecting more than 5,000 acres across west central Indiana!!!

This achievement belongs to our entire conservation community. Every acre we protect is made possible by donors, members, volunteers, partners, and landowners like you who believe natural places matter.

Late last week, we passed the 5,000-acre threshold with the closing on our newest acquisition along the Wabash River in Fountain County. Thanks to an outpouring of community support during this land acquisition campaign, NICHES will conserve nearly 70 acres of important Wabash River habitat. The property features over two-thirds of a mile of river frontage, mature oak-hickory woodland, and restored grassland that will benefit wildlife and people alike.
