Inner City Group Immerses in Nature

On July 11, NICHES partnered with the Benton County Soil & Water Conservation District The Nature ConservancyGeswein Farm & Land Realty, LLCUrban Soil Health, and Purdue Agronomy to host a group from Family Matters Chicago for a field day focused on understanding and protecting our natural resources.

NICHES Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator, Sam Cody, led the group for a hike and discussion about stewardship, natural literacy, and job opportunities in the conservation world. Family Matters is a youth development and community leadership non-profit organization based in the North of Howard community of Rogers Park, Chicago.
