Your gift to NICHES’ Giving Tuesday campaign protects more than land. It protects native ecosystems as well as the experiences, memories, and connections that happen there.

As NICHES grows, so does our responsibility to care for the lands and experiences entrusted to us. More protected acres mean more habitat to restore, more trails to maintain, more opportunities to connect people with nature, and more promises to keep for future generations. Simply put, it takes more to care for more.

With your support, NICHES can:

• Care for more than 5,000 acres of forests, prairies, wetlands, and streams so native plants and wildlife can thrive.
• Protect special places before they are lost forever.
• Keep trails, preserves, and natural areas open and accessible for everyone.
• Create opportunities for children and families to discover nature through hikes, camps, and outdoor experiences.
• Ensure future generations can find the same wonder, peace, and sense of belonging that these places provide today.

Thanks to a generous group of Black Rock Society members, gifts made through Giving Tuesday will be tripled through a special matching challenge:

Before the end of the year, we're working to raise $40,000 to unlock a generous $80,000 matching challenge, helping us reach our $120,000 year-end campaign goal. Every dollar you give brings us closer to protecting more special places, caring for the lands already entrusted to NICHES, and connecting more people with the natural world.

Your impact will go three times as far to help protect vulnerable natural areas, restore native habitats, maintain trails and public access, and respond when significant conservation opportunities arise.

The land asks for very little from us, yet gives us so much.

It gives us clean water, shady trails, birdsong on summer mornings, and places where memories are made. But these places do not protect themselves. Every year, natural areas are lost, and opportunities to conserve them slip away.

This Giving Tuesday, you can help ensure that the forests, prairies, wetlands, and streams that define our region remain protected forever. Your gift will be tripled through a generous matching challenge, helping NICHES care for the lands we steward today and protect the places that need us tomorrow.
