St. Swithin Day at Williams Woods
Description
Hike the woodland and prairie restoration at Williams Woods in the morning. Gather at the stone circle created by Grover Williams, on private property, for lunch (participants provide their own). Hear about the creation of the stave church on a tour of the building from the children of Grover Williams.
The Church was dedicated to St. Swithin. St Swithin is prayed to for good weather on July 15, and we will offer a prayer for the weather to nourish the restoration that was planted the previous winter.
