History of Acquisition and Property

Walnut Fork was a gift to NICHES from the city of Crawfordsville in 1999. Land based access to this property is limited, as requested by the city at the time of the donation. Paddlers that float in via Sugar Creek are welcome to stop and explore the property. The land is intended primarily as a wildlife refuge rather than place where people wander freely.
