Julie Rubsam moved to the Lafayette area in the mid-1990s to attend Purdue University where she studied Horticulture and Forestry. After graduation, she and her husband Jason decided to make Greater Lafayette their home.
In 2008, they started a small business in downtown Lafayette. As with many small businesses, Julie wore many hats. She was responsible for Business Development, Brand Development and Management, Sales, Networking, HR, and all the other tasks that go into managing a small business. Their business won several community awards; Small Business of the Month, Journal & Courier’s Reader’s Choice Award, and Small Business of the Year. Julie was also awarded Tippy Connect’s Top 10 Under 40 and Business Networking International’s Member of the Year Award during this time.
After selling their business in 2014, Julie accepted a position with United Way of Greater Lafayette as a resource development associate. She oversaw several divisions of their annual campaign before accepting the position as Development Director for NICHES Land Trust.
Julie is passionate about our community and enjoys seeing organizations and businesses succeed. Over the years, she has taken an active role in many community committees and organizations.
She now brings that passion to her position with NICHES Land Trust.
